Publisher, Crytivo and developer Soda Den are excited to announce. This may very well be one for the books, hopefully becoming yet another game players can't get enough of. The crowdfunding campaign also exceeds the expectation with an Alpha due to follow soon. The developers have also stated that several new features will be added to the game before its launch, meaning that gamers should stay tuned to see what's in store for Roots of Pacha. A brand new farming sim from Argentinian devs Soda Den called Roots of Pacha was featured during this year’s Summer Game Fest. In the meantime, players can look forward to collecting mounts and building new and improved tools to help them reap a plentiful harvest. While the developers aim to release the game entirely in late 2022, this is always subject to change. While this may seem like a useless feature, it's beneficial to those picking weeds around their crops without the worry of uprooting their harvest before it's ready. Roots of Pacha has also made it impossible to gather crops accidentally. Discover ideas, domesticate crops, befriend animals, and contribute to the growth of your village. Live with them (or keep your distance), share talents and resources, and celebrate festivals, where each player can. Be a part of a thriving stone age community. If players would rather keep their fruitful bounty to themselves, they can opt to create recipes, preserve their food by smoking it, or gift food to a local friend in need. Invite up to 3 friends to join your village.
This opens up ample opportunities to expand upon ideas to improve each player's settlement. By connecting with nature at your own pace you’ll help your clan evolve, develop culture and relationships, and discover the mysteries of Pacha, mother nature. Players can collect a multitude of crops and use them as contributions to their clan. Roots of Pacha is a co-op farming and life simulation game set in the stone age, where you and your clan just settled in a promised and fertile land. You can do this by yourself or with other players, but there seems to be a greater focus towards the latter as you develop technology, discover various flora to farm, harvest crops, and domesticate various animals.The farming part of the game is simple yet intricate. The ultimate goal of Roots of Pacha is to settle down with your clan after roaming the wildlands of the prehistoric world.
Besides farming, the trailer also shows off animal taming as well as raft-building. The farming aspect also seems very involved, with complex systems like irrigation and wells being used. During a recent gameplay demo at Summer Game Fest, I got to chat with Soda Den co-founder and lead developer Timo Dadony about just what their upcoming game is. The calm and relaxing atmosphere is very reminiscent of Stardew Valley, as it also shares the same top-down perspective. Roots of Pacha, a life-sim about guiding a Stone Age tribe to success, has released a Steam demo today. Roots of Pacha features a weird, yet appealing mix of cartoonish and pixel art. One thing that’s for certain with this title is its rather distinct art style. One of the main differences that sets Roots of Pacha apart from Stardew Valley is its tool systems, which make for a more communal-like farming experience. It’s expected to launch across all platforms, both from this generation and the next in 2021, in addition to the Nintendo Switch and PC. The game is a mash-up of cooperative RPG with life and farming simulation elements, all set during humanity’s earliest days in the Stone Age. One of the very first announced is Roots of Pacha, from developer Soda Den and publisher Crytivo. With the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 set to release during the holiday season of this year, we’re bound to see more titles being announced for the cross-generation period.
With everything that’s been happening recently, it seems a bit hard to believe that the current generation of gaming is coming to a close.
